Background Audio Level Adjusted Awkwardly

If I’m using my airpods and listening to music or a podcast somewhat quietly (4 bars on the volume indicator), then press option to transcribe, my media audio gets turned up 2x (estimation). If I turn the media volume up to 8 bars, it gets quieter when engaging Monologue. I’m not sure what the ideal solution is. Maybe default cutting the media volume in half when I press option to engage?
