Push to talk keyboard shortcut with external keyboard

I can’t figure out how to get a shortcut key to work on my external keyboard that’s push to talk.

Right now it only triggers it to record until I press the same key sequence again.

The default Fn key shortcut isn’t helpful for those of us using external keyboards.

I tried mapping to option+spacebar and for life of me cannot figure out how to have to behave at paub to talk like the settings imply.
