Start recording sound?

Is there a setting to get Monologue to play some sort of notification tone when it starts recording? I have a two-monitor setup, and when I'm paying attention to the monitor that doesn't have the Monologue widget, or if I have things in full screen mode, I have no idea whether Monologue is actually recording or not. I'd rather not have to pay attention to the widget to know that it's capturing my voice.
