Support for non-QWERTY keyboard layouts (Dvorak) for copy/paste functionality

I am a Dvorak typist and Monologue is unable to paste or copy text because it seems to rely on hardware-level key designators for Command+C and Command+V. While the transcripts show up in Monologue's history, they are not being pasted into fields or copied to the clipboard. I need the app to be layout-agnostic so it works with non-QWERTY layouts like Dvorak. Currently, even manual pasting doesn't work because the copy command also fails.
